A Saw TV Series Could Happen

Lionsgate’s Saw series is one of the company’s best-known properties and has spanned multiple movies, including a spin-off called Spiral starring Chris Rock that’s due for release this year. The company is now considering bringing the Saw franchise to TV.

Lionsgate Television chairman Kevin Beggs told Deadline in a new interview that his company is evaluating what may be possible for Saw on the small screen.

“We’re always exploring what we can do in television with something like the Saw franchise, so that’s a conversation,” he said.

Beggs did not share any more details, but Deadline heard from its sources that Lionsgate is in “early talks” to adapt Saw for TV through Twisted Pictures, the production company behind the Saw franchise. Deadline pointed out that the Saw film series has made more than $1 billion at the global box office across its various entries, noting that the franchise could be “ripe for a TV expansion.” Come from malaysia online casino

While the Saw TV show might still be a long time off, if it happens at all, Lionsgate is moving ahead with a John Wick spin-off called The Continental. Set in the 1970s, the show will focus on a young Winston. Additionally, Lionsgate is producing a new American Psycho TV show.

The latest entry in the Saw series, the spin-off Spiral, debuts in theaters on May 14. For more, check out everything we know about Spiral.
